Happy Thursday! I can't believe August is over in a week and a day. This summer FLEW by! Which I'm actually okay with as I am not of fan of summer. I prefer bundling up at night instead of sweating and seriously considering sleeping in a cold water filled bathtub.
So to get my mind off of debating what water level is an acceptable level that I wouldn't drown, I made this fall, friendship card. I am a HUGE fan of Stampin' Up!'s paper line Comfort Café; the colors are gorgeous and there's chevrons! And thanks to Moxie Fab's latest Tuesday Trigger, Mojo Monday's latest sketch and Simon Says Stamp and Show no rules challenge, I pulled out the beautiful paper with matching cardstock.
I used the distressing technique to color in the tree with some SU! ink pads and sponge daubers. A lot of Summer Starfruit with a little bit of Cajun Craze and Gumball Green to give the tree a fall look. The tree is made up of 3 parts, layered to give the effect the tree sections are layered.
The simplicity and colors make the card and the small touches like the natural cord, pearls and corners of the kraft sentiment piece make it fun, I think. As always, you can find the supply list below.
